just arrived at the portland airport about.. 20 mins ago. now i have a 6 hours layover till i fly to denver. this is definitely the longest i've had to wait in an airport... hah

i enjoyed spending time with the folks, i would have enjoyed it all the more if the weather was warmer and if i remembered to bring a jacket. but what can u do

a few more days of playing around on vacation, then it's back to reality for me. gotta start a job hunt.

sun at the ocean shore today, took the 35mm to blow some film. im excited to see how it turns out. i just realized i dont have access to a scanner though.. so that kinda puts a damper on things. we'll see how it goes

working on getting back to normal after my month long excursion overseas. which was awesome, btw

annd now i'm working on trying to get myself together for college. im still not sure what i'm going to do... i dont know if i'll go anywhere with college, but i guess we'll find out. I was thinking being some photographers apprentice would be very nice. I'm still mostly oblivious to the real art behind photography and it would be nice to try and learn a thing or two from someone who knows what they are doing.

i think i decided on something i really want now. anyone a really good with asian type art? i would love it if someone could draw a geisha for me.. heh

gah.. i should have brought that film camera to oregon. wayy too many beautiful opportunities passed me by because i didn't have a camera..

i finally got smart.. and realized that i will never find my camera battery charger. and i could probably find a compatible charger. So.. i did.
that battery is charging noww and before u know, i'll be picture- happy natalie again.
this means i'll actually have a digital camera for germany now. yay

everytime i browse art on here i'm amazed at some people. some things are just so amazing.. and other things are just terrible. someone will take a mediocre at best picture.. and submit 50 slight variations of the same thing. why? it's so annoying. i guess people probably look at my 'art' and wonder why i'd waste my time submitting it because it's garbage too, but i don't know. i think some people should hold back a little bit and submit things viewing worthy and maybe DA will reduce some clutter. i guess this sounds really mean. i don't really care i guess. i just dont think it should be a contest who can submit the most crappy stuff.

that said.. DA has a lot of talent. and i'm quite jealous. maybe i can learn a thing or two from some of the great people on here.
